BMW World of Golf 2023 Commences in Singapore

Three esteemed winners will go on to represent Team Singapore at the 2024 World Final in South Africa.

BMW Asia has recently kicked off this year’s rendition of BMW World of Golf, the largest BMW golf series in Singapore.

Known globally as the BMW Golf Cup, it is by far the largest international tournament series targeted at amateur golfers. More than 10,000 golfers come from Germany alone, and they fiercely compete for a spot in the World Final. To date, roughly 100,000 amateur golfers from about 50 countries are actively competing around the world.

Eligible participants will compete across five qualifying rounds – three local and two overseas – to fight for 18 spots at the BMW Golf Cup National Final taking place from 2 to 3 November 2023 at Tanah Merah Country Club. From this, three winners will then go on to represent Team Singapore at the World Final that will take place at the Fancourt Golf Resort in George, South Africa in 2024.

BMW’s flagship EV sedan, the BMW i7, will also be on showcase at Sentosa Golf Club for guests to admire. Test drives can be arranged on-site with BMW brand ambassadors stationed at the event. In addition, each participant is eligible to receive a set of TaylorMade x BMW golf balls worth $25 by participating in the BMW Golf Personality Quiz on the spot.

“BMW’s involvement with golf has a long and storied history,” said Mr. Lars Nielsen, Managing Director, BMW Group Asia. “It’s a sport that’s close to our hearts and gives us the opportunity to deliver unforgettable experiences. To acknowledge the enthusiasm and support from our customers over the years, we are kickstarting our largest ever Golf Series in Singapore with more than 1,000 participants in attendance.”

“This year, we are opening the BMW Golf Cup National Final to golf enthusiasts who are either BMW Customers or members of the three participating golf clubs in Singapore. This is a first for BMW in Singapore and we look forward to welcoming the best of the best to showcase their skills on the green!”
