Wearnes Is hosting an upcoming drive-thru food donation event

Food From The Heart and Wearnes are having a food donation drive at 45 Leng Kee Road on 2 and 3 March 2024. All are encouraged to show your support.

Fancy lending a hand, or rather, a heart on wheels? Wearnes Automotive is back hosting a 2024 Heart on Wheels initiative, and it’s all about spreading a bit of love and sustenance to those who need it most.

If you haven’t heard of Food from the Heart, it is a local charity that’s beating hunger with a kind touch, delivering a steady stream of food to those who could use a little extra help. Last year, they managed to help over 59,300 souls, distributing $7.23 million worth of food.

This time around, Wearnes is setting the bar high, aiming to collect 25,000 food items and drum up $150,000 in donations for the residents of Lengkok Bahru.

So, how can you chip in?

Swing by 45 Leng Kee Road on the 2nd or 3rd of March, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and bring along some goodies. Here’s what they are looking for:

  • Biscuits (those 200g – 500g packs are perfect)
  • Bread spreads
  • Canned meats
  • Cooking oil
  • Instant beverages & Noodles
  • Rice (Preferably in 1 to 2.5kg packets)

Can’t make it in person?

No worries. You can still sponsor a food bundle online. And since Food from the Heart has an IPC status, your generosity will also score some tax deductions. And because no good deed goes unnoticed, the first 200 cars to roll up with donations each day will get a little thank-you from McDonald’s Singapore.

Let’s show that when it comes to giving back, Singapore’s heart is as big as its spirit.
