Electric cars are usually sensible, responsible, or efficient. Performance, if it entered the conversation at all, did so apologetically.
The HYPTEC SSR has no time for such modesty.
Billed as the most daring expression of HYPTEC’s engineering ambition, the SSR arrives in Singapore as a full-throated challenge to what electric performance can be.

The HYPTEC SSR produces 900 kW (1,224 PS). It dispatches 0–100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds. It also currently holds the Guinness World Record for the highest drift speed achieved by a pure electric vehicle, clocking 213.523 km/h sideways.
Developed through extensive wind tunnel simulations, the SSR’s signature “wind-suction” design blends active and passive aerodynamic elements across the entire vehicle.
Carbon fibre features heavily throughout the core structure and body panels, keeping rigidity high and mass in check.

The SSR’s track-ready “magazine battery” is engineered to deliver consistent output under sustained load, with advanced thermal control ensuring performance does not unravel after a handful of hot laps.
The technologies developed here will feed directly into the wider HYPTEC HT lineup, shaping how performance, efficiency and control are delivered across future models.

“As Singapore’s electric mobility scene continues to evolve, there is growing interest not just in adoption, but in performance, technology, and design. The HYPTEC SSR raises the bar by showcasing how far advanced electric engineering can be pushed, offering a glimpse into the future of high-performance EVs.”
Ernest Tan, Deputy CEO of VINCAR Group
The HYPTEC SSR will make its public debut at the Singapore Motorshow 2026, before moving to a limited-time showcase at the GAC showroom from 17 January 2026.
