BYD has introduced its new T35 electric light-duty truck to Singapore, with a launch price of $143,000 with COE after rebates.
BYD has launched its new T35 electric light-duty truck in Singapore, as part of its strategy to further enhance its presence in the commercial vehicle segment and provide new energy solutions to businesses here.
The T35 is designed to be a compact truck that suits urban mobility needs, and BYD says that the truck is easy to manoeuvre and navigate through most HDB carparks, thanks to its tight 4.8 metre turning radius, 1,760kg unladen weight, and height of less than 2 metres.
It features a 62kWh Blade Battery that gives it a range of 367km on a full charge, and the battery can take on a maximum DC charging speed of 71kW, allowing it to go from 20 to 80 per cent charge in 36 minutes and minimising downtime for businesses.
Power output is rated at 150kW/201hp, and it also has a generous torque figure of 340Nm, giving it plenty of grunt to make delivery duties effortless.
The maximum payload of 1,900kg makes it a suitable workhorse for most small and medium-sized businesses. At the same time, its Maximum Laden Weight (MLW) of 3,700kg enables it to qualify for a $40,000 rebate under the Heavy Vehicle Zero Emissions Scheme (HVZES).
BYD has also designed a car-like interior for the T35, and it includes features such as USB charging ports, selectable driving modes and a full set of ADAS safety systems, ensuring that drivers can enjoy a comfortable environment as they embark as they spend long hours behind the wheel.
Pricing for the BYD T35 starts at $143,000 with COE, after the relevant rebates are applied. For further peace of mind, BYD is offering a 10-year battery warranty and 10-year servicing plan for all T35 customers.
