Toyota unveils the bZ4X Touring and Urban Cruiser EVs at Connected in Mobility

Toyota has unveiled two new EV models for Singapore, the bZ4X Touring and Urban Cruiser, at their Connected in Mobility event at Marina Bay Sands.

Toyota has pulled the wraps off two new EVs for Singapore, with the bZ4X Touring and Urban Cruiser making their debuts at Connected in Mobility, an event that was organised by Toyota’s official distributor here, Borneo Motors Singapore, and was held at the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza from 22 to 24 May.

The bZ4X Touring is a larger and more powerful version of the bZ4X EV that has been on sale here since early 2026. It features a taller and longer rear roofline that results in more boot space, as well as a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup that gives it a power output of 375bhp.

The Urban Cruiser meanwhile is a compact electric SUV that is based closely on the Suzuki eVitara, but features its own unique sharp design language as well as a practical and spacious interior, including a generous boot capacity of 562 litres.

Drivetrain details have not been announced, but it is expected to come with a powertrain that allows it to qualify for a Cat A COE.

Both cars were displayed at the Connected in Mobility event, alongside Toyota’s other range of new electrified vehicles such as the next-generation RAV4 SUV, the bZ4X EV, as well as hybrid models like the new Vios sedan and Noah MPV.

The Connected in Mobility event was a showcase for the public to discover and learn more about the evolving mobility ecosystem as Singapore moves towards a green and electrified future.

A special HEV & BEV Education Zone featured a hybrid cut-car exhibit developed in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic, alongside an augmented reality experience for Battery Electric Vehicles to help visitors better understand electrified drivetrain technology in an engaging and accessible way.

Aside from the cars on display, the event also featured various other zones to demonstrate the different aspects of eco mobility, in collaboration with partners like Shell, SP Group and Brompton bicycles.

“Connected in Mobility reflects Toyota’s belief that the future of mobility is not defined by a single solution, but by providing people with the power of choice. Through the introduction of the All-New Urban Cruiser and All-New bZ4X Touring, alongside our established Hybrid Electric Vehicle line-up, we hope to support different lifestyles and mobility needs as Singapore progresses towards a more sustainable future.”
