Think you know the truth about hybrids and electric cars? You might be surprised.
“Are EVs the only kind of cars allowed in 2030?”
“Which is really better, hybrids or EVs?
“EVs are prone to catching fire, is that true?
As electrified vehicles become more common on Singapore roads, questions and opinions about them abound.
EV batteries don’t last. Hybrids are only useful in city traffic. EVs cost less to run. Bigger batteries are always better.
Some are myths. Some are misconceptions. Others contain just enough truth to make things interesting.
In the second instalment of our Toyota Electrified Workshop Series, AutoApp and Toyota invite motorists to Hybrid Myths, EV Misconceptions & Motoring Half-Truths, an interactive session designed to separate fact from fiction and help drivers better understand today’s electrified motoring landscape.
We’ll tackle commonly heard claims about hybrids, EVs, batteries, charging, fuel economy, maintenance and everyday ownership, with plenty of real-world context for Singapore drivers.
Participants will also have the opportunity to experience Toyota’s latest electrified models and discover which drivetrain best suits their driving needs.
