Two great MPVs that won in Round 1 slug it out in a fight to claim the title of Overall Best MPV.
How Does ACOTY Define This Class?
Price, COE category and powertrain notwithstanding, the Overall Best MPV is chosen from the multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) that won in Round 1. Check out their respective Round 1 awards below.
Meet The Contenders
Toyota Sienta Hybrid
The Toyota Sienta Hybrid feels like more car for the money. Coupled with its excellent fuel economy and the fact that it can transport up to seven people at a go won it the Best Cat A MPV in Round 1.
MAXUS MIFA 9 Luxury
MAXUS’ first overseas mode, the MIFA 9 Luxury, appeals to us by being very well-equipped and able to put in a surprising turn in the twisty stuff while remaining quiet, comfortable, refined and composed.
We also like how the MIFA 9 looks unique and interesting in a segment of vehicles that are essentially large boxes on wheels. Finally, the MIFA 9’s enormous proportions translate to how much space is liberated inside, which is why it won Best MPV EV in Round 1.
So who won?
Two excellent Round 1 winners in their respective categories, but only one can come out on top.
Where the points tally in Round 1 was the final determinant of each category’s winner, here in Round 2, points are taken into consideration but are not the final arbiter of victory.
