Irene Nikkein returns to BMW Group Asia as Director of Sales, while Daniel Nentwich joins as Director of Marketing, bringing international experience to the German marque’s regional operations.
Behind every successful automotive brand is a team responsible for keeping the business moving forward. And for BMW Group Asia, two new appointments are set to strengthen its leadership as the company prepares for its next phase of regional growth.
BMW Group Asia has announced the appointment of Irene Nikkein as Director of Sales, effective 1 September 2026, and Daniel Nentwich as Director of Marketing, effective 1 December 2026.
Both executives bring extensive international experience within the BMW Group, although their respective journeys to Singapore have taken rather different routes.
A Familiar Face Returns
For Nikkein, the appointment marks a return to BMW Asia after 16 years. She brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across the BMW Group, most recently serving as Regional Director of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Asia Pacific for five years.
During her tenure, the British luxury marque expanded its regional presence with new offices in Japan and South Korea, alongside the establishment of Private Office Seoul, an exclusive space catering to Rolls-Royce’s clientele.
Before joining Rolls-Royce, Nikkein spent nearly 11 years with MINI, holding senior marketing and product management positions across Asia and Japan. Her experience across both brands provides a strong foundation for overseeing BMW’s regional sales operations and dealer network development.
International Experience Meets Regional Ambition
Meanwhile, Nentwich joins BMW Asia from BMW of North America, where he currently serves as Regional Marketing Director for the Northeast Region.
With more than a decade of experience across the automotive and luxury sectors in the United States and Europe, he has overseen marketing campaigns, customer engagement initiatives and strategic partnerships in one of BMW’s largest regional markets. His previous responsibilities have also spanned sales, retail performance, digital transformation and dealer network development.
The appointment brings a wealth of international marketing experience to BMW Asia at a time when customer engagement and digital strategies are becoming increasingly important to the automotive industry.
Strengthening BMW’s Regional Future
“I am delighted to welcome Irene and Daniel to the BMW Asia leadership team. Together, they bring highly complementary strengths that span the full customer journey. Irene combines deep expertise in sales leadership, dealer network development, and commercial performance, while Daniel adds extensive experience in brand building, customer engagement, and data-driven marketing.”
Rene Gerhard, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia.
Gerhard added that their collective experience and international perspectives would be instrumental in strengthening the BMW brand and supporting sustainable growth across the region.
