BYD has launched a new retail concept at Tampines 1, bringing Singapore’s best-selling car brand directly into one of the country’s busiest suburban shopping destinations.
Unlike a conventional showroom, the new Tampines 1 outlet has been conceived as an immersive lifestyle and community space rather than a purely transactional retail environment.
Located within the heart of a bustling shopping mall, the store allows visitors to explore BYD’s range of electric vehicles while going about their regular routines.

Perhaps the biggest departure from a traditional showroom lies in what visitors can expect beyond the vehicles themselves.
Rather than functioning solely as a retail space, the Tampines 1 outlet has been designed as a community hub, with a calendar of lifestyle activities and family-friendly events scheduled throughout the year.
Matcha-making sessions, cake decorating workshops and collaborations with food and lifestyle brands are among the initiatives planned to encourage repeat visits and foster stronger engagement with the wider community.

Visitors to the new store will be able to explore BYD’s latest electric vehicle line-up, learn more about the company’s technologies and speak with product specialists about EV ownership and sustainable mobility.
“The opening of our Tampines 1 store marks another important milestone in BYD’s growth journey in Singapore. As electric vehicle adoption continues to accelerate, it is important for us to bring the BYD brand closer to where our customers live, work and spend their time. This new store not only expands our reach in the East but also creates new opportunities for customers to discover BYD’s cutting-edge technology and experience our vehicles in a convenient and welcoming environment.”
James Ng, Managing Director of BYD Singapore and President of BYD Philippines
For Vantage Automotive, the new concept represents more than an expansion of its retail footprint.
“The future of automotive retail is no longer just about selling cars. It’s about creating experiences, building communities and becoming part of people’s everyday lives.”
Adelene Tan, Managing Director of Vantage Automotive
She added that the Tampines 1 outlet has been designed to become “a vibrant lifestyle destination”, allowing visitors to participate in workshops, engage with the brand and experience BYD’s award-winning vehicles in a more relaxed environment.

While the Tampines 1 outlet provides an accessible touchpoint for customers in eastern Singapore, it complements rather than replaces Vantage Automotive’s flagship facility at Alexandra Road.
The Alexandra hub continues to serve as the company’s one-stop centre for vehicle sales, aftersales support and servicing, ensuring customers enjoy a seamless ownership journey from initial enquiry through to long-term maintenance.
Together, the two locations strengthen BYD’s retail network while making electric mobility more accessible across different parts of Singapore.
