Getting your car back in ONE step

Step 1: The job’s completed!

When the service location finishes working on your car, you will be notified via the app. The Service Ambassador (SA) will then proceed back to the service location to collect your car.

Once the SA is on his way to your delivery address, you will receive another notification with an updated delivery date and time. If you would like to have your car delivered to a different location, simply let your SA know.

Once the SA has returned your car, the order will be marked as completed, and you will be prompted to rate our service.

As customer service is paramount at AutoApp, your candid feedback is appreciated as we continuously improve our app and service.

And that’s a wrap! Thank you for trusting AutoApp with your car.

A web link to your invoice will be sent to your email address.

You can also view the details of past bookings from the History tab.

Alternatively, you can view the invoice (and earlier stages of your booking) by selecting ‘History’ and ‘Invoice’.

The invoice will provide a breakdown of the services you have paid for, along with the services you have rejected.

Delivering your car to the workshop in 4 steps

Step 1: Picking up your car

After our AutoApp HQ staff confirm your booking, a Service Ambassador (SA) and workshop will be assigned to your car. If you have any questions, you can call the SA by tapping on the phone icon.

On the scheduled pick-up date and time, our SA will meet at your preferred location to collect the car. The SA will perform a preliminary inspection and note any issues with your car, such as dents, scratches or any warning lights.

Once ready, your car will be brought to the service location.

Step 2: Inspecting your car

At the service location, the personnel will conduct a detailed evaluation (not applicable to some services) to ascertain the works needed for your car.

You will then receive a quotation via the app along with an automated push notification. You can view the quotation by selecting ‘Quotation’.

Selecting ‘Booking’ or ‘Evaluation’ will show you your original booking and the SA’s inspection summary respectively.

Step 3: Reviewing and approving a quotation

The quotation will reflect the up-to-date price and quantity of your requested services.

The workshop may also recommend additional services based on their diagnostic tests and inspection.

In order to ensure that works can be completed in a timely manner, you are required to approve the quotation as soon as possible. If you need clarification regarding your quotation, contact your SA.

While reviewing the quotation, you can still choose and select/deselect any of the services by tapping on the green ticks. The total will be recalculated and updated automatically.

When ready, click ‘Next’.

The ‘Review Quotation’ screen now shows an updated quotation reflecting the services you have approved and removed.

You can also enter a promo code and click ‘Apply’ to receive discounts on your order.

Click ‘Confirm’ to approve your quotation.

Step 4: Commencing work on your car

After you have approved the quotation, works will begin on your car, and you will be notified once the job is completed.

Book an AutoApp service(s) in 5 steps

Step 1: Select the services you want/need

The car(s) you add to your virtual garage will appear at the top of the home screen.

If you have more than one car that requires servicing, a second booking can only be made after completion of the first job.

If you have more than one car, select the car that you would like to have serviced. A green tick will appear next to the car’s photo.

You will need to select at least one service in order to proceed to the next step.

If you have questions about a specific service, contact the AutoApp HQ at admin@autoapp.sg or call 91-028-028.

If you are unsure what your car needs, select ‘Help! I’m Not Sure What’s Wrong With my Car!’ After finalising your booking in step 5, our AutoApp HQ staff will get in touch with you to help diagnose the issues.

Any additional instructions to the Service Ambassador or workshop can be added to the ‘Others’ box.

Once you are ready, click ‘Next’.

Step 2: Choose your pick-up date, time and location

Click on the calendar icon to select the date and time you would like us to pick up your car. You are encouraged to book a pick-up slot at least 24 hours in advance.

Note: Bookings submitted outside of operating hours will be processed on the next working day.

After selecting your date and time, click ‘OK’.

Meeting points and further instructions can be specified in the ‘Additional Note’ box.

Next, enter your pick-up address. The app will automatically enter your billing address, but this can be updated to your preferred location. Building names should be included for business locations or condominiums.

Then, click ‘Next’.

Step 3: Choose your delivery address

You can use the same address that we pick your car up from, or enter a different address.

Let us know where we can deliver the car back to once the works are done. If you would like the car delivered back to the same address, tap ‘Same address as pick-up’.

As the delivery date and time will only be estimated after the workshop has inspected the car, the delivery address can still be revised at a later time. Simply contact your Service Ambassador for assistance.

Click ‘Next’ to proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Enter your credit card details

Enter your credit card details, card expiry date and CVV. Ensure that the card you use has the same billing address you entered here.

Your payment details are collected at this stage to ensure a smooth and secure transaction when you use AutoApp. Your card will NOT be charged until the service quotation has been confirmed and authorised by you (see Tutorial 3).

After confirming your details, click ‘Next’.

Step 5: Check and finalise your booking

The booking summary page gives you an overview of your order. You can click on the pencil icons to amend your order.

When you are ready, click ‘Book’. Your booking will then be submitted, and AutoApp HQ will contact you shortly to confirm your request and the prices of the services selected.

AutoApp is now live and ready to bring the ultimate convenience to your car servicing needs! If you haven’t already done so, you can download the app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

To help you get started, we’ve put together a four-part user guide with step-by-step instructions to walk you through creating your account and booking a service.

Note: The screenshots are taken on an iOS device. Any differences between iOS and Android versions will be appropriately addressed.

How to create an AutoApp account in 5 steps

Step 1: Launching the app

After downloading, you will see a mini-introduction of AutoApp, with ‘Book Service’ and ’Sign Up’ buttons on the third page.

If you already have an account, you can click on ‘Book Service’ to log in.

Tap on ‘Sign Up’. 

While you can preview available services by clicking ‘Book Service’, you will not be able to make a booking unless you have an existing AutoApp account.

Step 2: Creating an account

Users can create an account using one of the following options:

  • Email Address
  • Facebook
  • Apple ID (iOS users only)
Using an email address (recommended)
The ‘Sign in with Apple’ function is only available on iOS devices and will not appear on Android devices.

Enter your email address and your preferred password. Your password should contain at least 8 alphanumeric characters.

Click ‘Sign Up’.

You will then receive a verification email. Remember to check your junk folder! Click on the verification link to complete registration, and return to the screen below and click ‘Log In Now’.

If you do not receive any verification emails, contact AutoApp HQ at admin@autoapp.sg or 91-028-028 for manual account activation.
Using Facebook

Click ‘Sign Up via Facebook’. You will be prompted by a series of pop-up boxes and screens to authorise AutoApp and create an account using your Facebook email address.

Click ‘Continue’.

The email address linked with your Facebook account will be automatically added into the form.

Click ‘Sign Up’ to finalise your registration.

Next, click on the link in your verification email (check your junk folder!) to finalise your registration. After that, click the ‘Log In Now’ button.

Using your Apple ID

To sign in using your Apple ID, click ‘Sign in with Apple’. Then, authorise the app either by entering your password, or using Face ID.

After authorisation, proceed to step 4. Apple will populate a forwarding address into the email address section as part of their privacy features.

Any email notifications you receive will be sent to you via the forwarding address, and can be received in your regular email inbox.

Step 3: Logging into your account

If you have created an account using your Apple ID, skip this step.

Log into your newly created account by entering your email address and password, or by clicking ‘Log in via Facebook’.

If you have lost your password, click on ‘Forgot password?’ and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password. This function will not apply to Facebook and Apple ID users.

Step 4: Entering your details

Enter your details. Except the email address, these details can be updated at any time. These details ensure the account is uniquely yours, and are also used in your bookings.

Your contact number is required so that our Service Ambassadors or AutoApp HQ staff can contact you regarding your bookings.

Ensure that your phone number and billing address are correct. Your billing address should match that of the credit card you intend to use to book services. You only need to provide your credit card details later when making a booking.

Click ‘Next’ after entering all your details.

Step 5: Adding a car to your virtual garage

Select a car make and model from the dropdown list. You can also type to search for your car make or model.

You can also upload a photo of your car to provide our Service Ambassadors with a visual reference.

If there are any pre-existing conditions with your car, such as scratches or faulty warning lights, leave a remark in the ‘Owner’s Notes’ box.

Once you are ready, click ‘Save’.

And there you have it! You’ve now successfully created your account and added a car to your ‘garage’.
