When it comes to the future, Audi is looking well ahead, and its series of concept exhibitions around the world is key to it’s future-focused ambitions.

For the first time in Singapore, Audi will be debuting its House of Progress showcase from 31 March to 16 April 2023.

The exhibition will highlight Audi’s flagship models and include leadership panels and networking sessions. The main aim of the event is to shape perspectives on the future of premium mobility and sustainability.

Audi’s four core values are digitalisation, design, progress and sustainability, and the exhibition will include an instalment focused on Audi’s growing electric vehicle range.

New models will also be launched during this event. The hotly anticipated Audi Q8 e-tron and the Audi Q4 e-tron will make an appearance, set to enter the local market in the second half of 2023 and the first half of 2024 respectively. Other flagship Audi models like the Audi e-tron GT, Audi RS e-tron GT and Audi R8 will also be on display.

The exhibition will also feature the Audi Grandsphere concept car. It’s the second instalment in Audi’s lineup of visionary concept cars, and pushes the boundaries of design with a transformative first-class lounge interior, exuding the feeling of being on a private jet.

Moving away from the automotive aspects of the event, Audi will also be hosting various luxury consumer brands and sustainability-focused organisations. These include the likes of Leica, The Hour Glass, Bolia and Bang & Olufsen.

“Singapore presents the ideal landscape for House of Progress, with the country’s unwavering commitment to the path of net zero,” said Markus Schuster, Managing Director for Audi Singapore. “House of Progress sets the stage for Audi to showcase our vision for a new future of sustainable mobility, as we transition to cleaner-energy models. By providing platforms to engage in meaningful conversations about the future, we are dedicated to bringing our customers along with us on this journey of progress”.

Interested? Audi’s House of Progress will be open to the public every weekend from 31 March to 16 April 2023, between the hours of 10 am to 7 pm. Admission is complimentary and tickets can be reserved online.

See you there!

On The Ground: International MotorXpo Hong Kong 2022 (IMXHK) https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=262234 Sat, 31 Dec 2022 16:13:38 +0000 https://autoapp.sg/?p=262234 The International MotorXpo Hong Kong (IMXHK) was an action-packed weekend of exciting activities for automotive enthusiasts of all ages.

The first-ever International MotorXpo Hong Kong (IMXHK) which happened in 2021 was an overwhelming success, attracting over 160,000 visitors, 160 different exhibitors, and amassed 60 brands and more than 150 vehicles.

Continuing its success, IMXHK 2022 was an even bigger endeavour, promoting automotive culture, education, and electronic sports car racing. Held from 8 – 11 December,  exhibition-goers were treated to a weekend of automotive fanfare held at AsiaWorld Expo and AXA Wonderland in the West Kowloon Cultural District.

IMXHK campaigned its “Mobility +” theme this year, showcasing the latest automotive technology, art, and collector cars, in addition to a number of automotive-related performances and competitions.

These include an electric car-themed exhibition, a car culture festival area featuring a whole host of rare JDM gems and collector cars, and an exclusive VIP Avenue showcasing stunning car art, design, supercars and other mobility technologies.

Some special events were also hosted during the festivities, including the Dream Car 2050 Children Art Gallery which raised funds for charity, a fun-filled CARnival with car-themed gaming, animation and model car displays, plus the first MISS IMX Contest.

In addition to the expansive indoor exhibition space, this instalment of IMXHK throws in another bonus, which is the introduction of an outdoor bazaar and vehicle show this year. This action-packed, tyre-smoking show features classic JDM drifting and motorbike stunt performances.

Essentially, it’s a stage for local motorsport athletes to flaunt their talented skills.

No matter what is your poison: be it retro JDM classics, new billionaire club exotics, racing legends or even sensible EVs, there’s something for everyone, cumulating in this Smörgåsbord of automotive passion.

I was most likely the only foreign media correspondent there in attendance, but overall I had a blast, and it was a festival weekend packed to the brim with activities.

Furthermore, it enables local automotive enthusiasts to come together and share their passion for roaring engines and loud exhausts (or silence if you fall under the EV band camp). If you get the chance to attend IMXHK in the future, I highly suggest you do.

Save The Dates: The Singapore Motorshow is Back in 2023 https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=262057 Fri, 16 Dec 2022 20:47:37 +0000 https://autoapp.sg/?p=262057 After a long three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Singapore Motorshow is back with a bang. Taking place from 12th to 15th January 2023 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, the exhibition promises a weekend of thrills and fun.

The Singapore Motorshow is poised to feature 24 different automotive brands spread out across two levels of the convention halls. Of which, Polestar will be making its first appearance at a local Motorshow and will be rolling out a new concept model at the event.

With the push for greener transport alternatives, electric and hybrid cars are expected to be the main stars of the 2023 show, in line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030.

If you were looking to perhaps snag a deal on a new car, there will be plenty of opportunities to do so, However, as with our current astronomical COE prices, we wouldn’t get our hopes up on prices that are too good to be true.

For those who follow the latest local celebrity news, a trope of MediaCorp artists will also be in attendance at the event. Throughout the four-day escapade, these artists will be participating in various activities and games.

Plus, patrons can look forward to the return of the beloved Russ Swift stunt show, a key segment that was part of previous iterations. The record-holding British precision driver is back to present a variety of iconic and electrifying stunts. Fans will be treated to stunt parking, J-turns, donut moves, car dance routines, and more.

If you’re one of the few lucky visitors to be picked, you can even get the opportunity to ride along in the car with Russ Swift as he performs his stunts. Limited tickets are available, so snag them up while you can!

Visitors with a general public ticket will also stand a chance to win the Subaru Impreza 5D 2.0i-S Eyesight AWD CVT worth S$90,800 (without COE), or Nissan Kicks e-POWER Premium worth $76,800 (without COE)!

Tickets are available at Suntec Singapore Concourse Level 3. S$12 gets you preview tickets, S$8 for general public tickets, and it’s free of charge for children below 1.2 metres. General public tickets will also be available for purchase on the SISTIC website and app from 1st December 2022 onwards. See you there!
