For the uninitiated, Hongqi translates to “Red Flag” in Mandarin, and it’s an icon in China. Once the chariot of statesmen and diplomats, now reimagined for the modern world with Eastern elegance and electrified ambition.

The Hongqi Renaissance

Established in 1958 under the stewardship of China FAW Group, Hongqi is China’s oldest passenger carmaker. The brand has undergone a renaissance, thanks in part to famed designer Giles Taylor, the same person who once penned silhouettes for Rolls-Royce.

Under a bold new vision titled “Embracing Innovation, Empowering the Future”, Hongqi is marching to a new beat. One that fuses centuries of Eastern philosophy with cutting-edge tech and electrified propulsion systems.

What’s Rolling In

The initial lineup will be split into three series: Luxury, Premium, and Mainstream. The curtain-raiser will be the E-HS9, a full-sized electric SUV that looks like a palace on wheels.

Joining the ranks is the G117, a sleek mid-size SUV, and the E007, a family-first electric SUV that made its debut at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show.

A Home Along Leng Kee Road

A dedicated showroom will open along Leng Kee Road in the first half of 2026.
