Positioned between the M4 Competition Coupé with M xDrive and the limited-edition M4 CSL, the M4 CS embodies racing pedigree with daily road sensibility.

Lars Nielsen, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, highlighted its significance: “This exceptional sports car represents the pinnacle of BMW’s engineering prowess, combining increased power, precise handling, and refined design with minimised weight.”

At its heart, the M4 CS houses a race-bred 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line engine. With M TwinPower Turbo technology, it delivers a formidable 550hp and 650Nm of torque. Notably, this represents a 20 hp boost over the M4 Competition.

These upgrades include enhanced turbochargers and refined engine management, enabling the M4 CS to clock 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 302 km/h.

The vehicle’s dynamic poise is underscored by its Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7 minutes, 21.989 seconds.

Designed to harness the engine’s power, the M4 CS features a bespoke suspension system with adaptive dampers, M Servotronic steering, and an integrated braking system.

The standard M Compound brakes and forged M light-alloy wheels are complemented by Michelin track tyres, ensuring superior handling.

The M xDrive system, coupled with an Active M Differential, provides optimised torque distribution, enhancing traction and agility.

For purists, the car offers a rear-wheel-drive 2WD mode for a more traditional driving experience. Weight reduction is a core focus, achieved through extensive use of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP).

The roof, bonnet, and aerodynamic elements like the rear spoiler and diffuser showcase this material, shaving off approximately 20 kg compared to the M4 Competition Coupé.

The M4 CS pairs performance with striking design. Its frameless kidney grille, adorned with red accents and unique “M4 CS” badging, exudes a motorsport-inspired aesthetic.

Inside, M Carbon bucket seats provide comfort and support, while the BMW Curved Display, featuring M-specific readouts, keeps drivers informed.

Equipped with the latest BMW iDrive 8.5 system, the M4 CS integrates voice and touch controls, making it as intuitive as it is advanced.

Standard features include a Harman Kardon sound system, a suite of driver assistance systems, and the M Drive Professional package, which offers tools like the M Drift Analyser and M Laptimer.

With only a limited number of units available globally, the M4 CS offers exclusivity and unparalleled driving exhilaration. Priced at $702,888 before COE and options, it is now open for orders in Singapore.

Facelifted BMW 4 Series and M4 Debuts In Singapore https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=275303 Wed, 12 Jun 2024 18:56:33 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=275303 The LCI facelifted BMW 4 Series and M4 models come with enhanced looks and performance, plus an improved BMW OS8.5 infotainment system.

BMW has just rolled out the updated 4 Series and M4 models in Singapore. There are 4 new models in total – 2 coupes, 2 cabriolets.

The 4 Series range features the sleek 420i Coupe and the elegant 420i Convertible, while the M4 family boasts the M4 Competition Coupe and the M4 Competition Convertible, both equipped with M xDrive (all-wheel drive).

What’s new? The refreshed 4 Series Coupe and Convertible sport redesigned headlights with chevron-shaped daytime running lights.

At the rear, the once-optional LaserLight technology is now standard, making those taillights pop. This is a first for BMW’s volume-produced models.

The M4 Competition models too get the headlamp and taillight upgrades. As the crème de la crème of the lineup, they also flaunt redesigned BMW and M logos with a silver surround, complemented by new 19-inch forged alloy wheels available in a sleek silver finish.

The M4 models can be further tailored with the M Race Track Package, which trims the weight by up to 25kg thanks to features like M Carbon ceramic brakes and M Carbon bucket seats.

And for those wanting to make an even bolder statement, optional M design graphics for the bonnet and boot lid are available.

Step inside the M4, and you’re greeted by a new flat-bottom steering wheel, illuminated air-con vents, and M-specific details.

The infotainment system has been upgraded to BMW’s OS 8.5, faster and more intuitive than ever before. The 4 Series models also benefit from these interior enhancements, minus the M branding.

Performance-wise, the 420i Coupe and Convertible are powered by turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engines that churn out 181bhp and 300Nm of torque.

Now, with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, the integrated starter generator adds an extra 11hp for smoother take-offs. The 420i Coupe sprints to 100km/h in 7.5 seconds, while the heavier Convertible does it in 8.2 seconds.

Both models feature a 50-50 weight distribution, M Sports suspension, and M sport brakes.

For the adrenaline junkies, the M4 Competition models pack a punch with their twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six engines, now producing 523bhp and 650Nm of torque, thanks to a modified engine control system.

The M4 Coupe rockets from 0-100km/h in just 3.5 seconds, with the Convertible close behind at 3.7 seconds. The M xDrive system enhances traction but can be turned off to enable some serious oversteer and drifting action.

Interested? Pricing for the aforementioned models is as follows.

4 Series Convertible 420i M Sport$330,888
