Unveiled amid the heat and theatre of the 2025 Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia, it sits at the sharp end of Motul’s GP Series, carrying forward a legacy that has always been about translating lap-time obsession into real-world confidence.

Since 2020, the GP Series has been Motul’s way of letting everyday riders live a little of that MotoGP™ theatre on the street (GP Matic 4T, GP Power 4T, GP Ultimate 4T), each a chapter in the same book of pace and protection. GP Next 4T is the next page, written with a thicker pen.

“With this launch, we are redefining how riders connect with that spirit. With products that protect, perform, and inspire,” Carlo Savoca, Chief Marketing Officer, Motul Asia Pacific.

Marc Saurina of Dorna Sports adds the view from the other side of the pit wall: “MotoGP pushes the boundaries of possibility. Motul uses our testing ground to create even better performing and more sustainable products like the GP Next 4T.”

So what’s under the cap?

Response you can feel, protection you can trust, and durability that doesn’t blink under heat. In more technical language:

  • Enhanced Ester Technology blend with regenerated base oil for high output and uncompromised engine protection.
  • Eco-responsible packaging with bottles made with 50% recycled plastic and fully recyclable.
  • JASO MA2 certification for crisp wet-clutch feel and clean engagements in stop-start traffic or spirited s-bends.
  • API SP for modern engine protection and emissions compatibility.
  • 10W-40 viscosity tuned for our region’s hot, humid punishment.
  • Sharper throttle feel and smoother shifts under load.

Availability

Riders across Asia Pacific can find GP Next 4T at MOTUL authorised dealers from October 2025.

Motul and KTM Singapore Sign MoU to Cement Strategic Partnership https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=283270 Sat, 16 Aug 2025 13:27:45 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=283270 On 25 July 2025, in conjunction with the launch of the new KTM 125 and 390, Motul and KTM Singapore signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

What does this mean in real terms, beyond the handshakes and the photographs?

In short, Motul Asia Pacific becomes the official lubricant partner of KTM Singapore. With Motul’s full range of high-performance lubricants now flowing through KTM Singapore’s ecosystem, customers can expect stronger engine protection, cooler operating temperatures, and that elusive quality we all chase: consistency.

“This partnership with KTM Singapore is an exciting opportunity for us to bring Motul’s world-class expertise in lubrication and engine protection to a wider community of riders here. Together with KTM, we look forward to delivering an enhanced riding experience that reflects our shared commitment to performance, reliability, and passion.”

Jay Ong, Country Manager, Motul Singapore

If you’ve followed top-tier competition, you’ll know Motul’s ongoing role as the official lubricant partner of the MotoGP Red Bull KTM Racing Team and its 2025 KTM RC16s, proof that what’s being poured into your service bay shares DNA with the fluids that survive Sunday afternoons at 300 km/h.

The intent on both sides is as clear as a freshly bled brake line: align regionally, execute locally, and make the rider’s life better.

“We’re proud to partner with Motul, a name that stands for engineering excellence and proven performance. Our riders demand the best from their motorcycles, and that extends to the fluids that power them. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to giving riders in Singapore access to race-tested lubricant solutions and expert care. It’s about building long-term value and supporting every rider’s journey, whether on the road or the track.”

Wang Ying Hao, General Manager, KTM Singapore

So what changes for you, the rider, beyond a smarter sticker on the swingarm? Expect three practical pillars to take shape:

First, technical workshops for KTM riders and service teams. In a region where humidity and stop-start traffic can be as punishing as a sprint race, tailoring lubrication to local realities is more science than slogan.

Second, joint marketing and outreach that does more than shout. If the messaging is done right, it should shorten the distance between the paddock and the carpark, making it easier to understand and trust what goes into your engine.

Third, rider engagement activities like track days and product showcases. Because the final arbiter is always the throttle: does the bike feel crisper, cooler, more cohesive at pace? The best partnerships invite you to find out for yourself.

“Motul has long been a trusted technical partner for KTM globally, and this strategic collaboration in Singapore strengthens our synergy. We are pleased to endorse this partnership which supports our broader objective of delivering new benefits to our customers through this shared focus on performance and reliability and trusted technical solutions to KTM riders.”

Michael Ang, Director, KTM Singapore & Yew Heng Group

All of this dovetails neatly with KTM Singapore’s raison d’être as the exclusive distributor here: comprehensive sales, attentive servicing, and a calendar of engagement that reflects the brand’s off-road grit and road-race agility. The Austrian marque has built a reputation on bikes that feel alive, and the right lubricant turns that liveliness from a party trick into a personality trait.

With Motul and KTM Singapore pulling in the same direction, the promise is simple: race-ready dependability you can feel from the first start to the last corner of the day.

Motul Unveils ‘Celebrate Every Journey’ Campaign https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=282380 Mon, 26 May 2025 17:29:05 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=282380 Titled “Celebrate Every Journey,” this new integrated brand campaign is Motul’s love letter to the riders and drivers of Asia Pacific.

Not just the ones chasing apexes on racetracks, but also the everyday heroes who rely on their wheels to navigate school runs, office commutes, and late-night prata cravings.

Because in our part of the world, where motorbikes weave through the veins of Southeast Asia and cars double as mobile karaoke booths, the relationship with our vehicles is more than mechanical. It’s emotional.

Motul Celebrate Every Journey

“For over 170 years, Motul has enhanced not just engine performance, but also rider confidence and driving pleasure,” the brand shares.

To bring the ‘Celebrate Every Journey’ campaign to life, Motul is rolling out two heartfelt short films, each anchoring a distinct line of products:

  • PCMO (Passenger Car Motor Oil): A touching montage that traces the everyday drive – the quiet mornings, the family pitstops, the car that’s more sanctuary than sedan. It’s not about lap times. It’s about life’s little moments in motion.
  • MCO (Motorcycle Oil): This one’s for the rebels and roadsters – the solo travellers carving paths on two wheels. Whether it’s the freedom of the open highway or the gravel-paved shortcuts of rural Vietnam, the film paints a portrait of adventure, one rev at a time.

#JourneyWithMotul

Motul Celebrate Every Journey

To mark the launch, Motul is inviting everyday riders and drivers to join in the fun with a community-driven giveaway worth over SGD $4,500. Think limited-edition Motul swag, a year’s supply of premium Motul products, and an all-expenses-paid trip to the MotoGP of Malaysia.

Here’s how to ride into the campaign:

1. Follow [@motul_singapore] on Instagram
2. Post a photo or video of a memorable journey, and share why it matters, and how Motul is part of the ride
3. Tag @motul_singapore and include #JourneyWithMotul
4. Make sure your account is public

Whether it’s a first date on a borrowed scooter, a solo ride through Bintan’s backroads, or a father-son project restoring a classic saloon, Motul wants your story.

Motul Launches New NGEN Hybrid in Asia Pacific https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=282285 Wed, 21 May 2025 10:41:28 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=282285 Motul NGEN Hybrid is targeted specifically for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs).

This high-performance engine oil is as much a technical marvel as it is a response to a shifting landscape, one where stop-start traffic, cooler running temperatures and engine reboots are the norm, not the exception.

“Hybrid cars need hybrid oil,” quipped Carlo Savoca, Chief Marketing Officer of Motul Asia Pacific. “NGEN Hybrid is designed to support fuel efficiency, protect engine components, and reduce environmental impact, all in one bottle.”

The engine in your average hybrid doesn’t behave like conventional cars. It’s off, then on. Then off again. The RPMs flirt with extremes. Electric motors kick in. The whole orchestra of propulsion is in constant flux. And that’s precisely where conventional oils fall short.

Motul NGEN Hybrid

Motul’s answer is NGEN Hybrid, a tailor-made solution with faster oil circulation, quicker pressure build-up, and low-speed pre-ignition protection that exceeds API SQ and ILSAC GF-7 standards.

8.1% improved fuel economy is claimed compared to regular 0W-20 oils, which is about 45 extra kilometres per tank, or one fewer stop at the petrol station every week.

But performance is only half the story. The other half is sustainability; Motul’s NGEN Hybrid is made with 10% regenerated base oils and bottled in containers that use 50% post-consumer recycled plastic.

With Southeast Asia’s hybrid vehicle market expected to grow at 18% CAGR until 2030, and countries like Indonesia and Thailand rolling out generous incentives for low-emission vehicles, the timing couldn’t be better.

Yet, despite the surge in hybrid ownership, Motul’s research shows that most drivers are still in the dark about the need for hybrid-specific engine oil. Many lean on bundled servicing packages and OEM-recommended fluids that don’t necessarily cater to the demands of hybrid systems. That’s a knowledge gap Motul is eager to close.

Motul NGEN Hybrid

Not content with just lubricating engines, Motul has also unveiled two new sidekicks in the hybrid care lineup:

  • NGEN MATIC ATF VI – An eco-designed automatic transmission fluid made with 30% RRBO, fit for gearboxes, transfer cases and power steering
  • E DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid – A synthetic long-life brake fluid engineered to meet the high-performance demands of modern hybrid and EV braking systems

NGEN Hybrid is available in SAE 0W-16 and 0W-20 viscosities. And whether you’re coasting through urban sprawl or quietly gliding down expressways in EV mode, the oil working behind the scenes ensures your hybrid system remains efficient, responsive, and protected.

New Motul NGEN Series Powers Into The Future https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=281372 Mon, 24 Mar 2025 17:02:22 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=281372 Say hello to NGEN, Motul’s latest engine oil series and quite possibly the brand’s most audacious step forward in its 170-year history.

Now, if you’ve ever turned a wrench or twisted a throttle, you’d know that Motul isn’t just some shelf-sitter in a supermarket aisle.

This is the company that brought the world the first fully synthetic four-stroke lubricant back in 1971, the legendary Motul 300V. But even legends know when it’s time to evolve.

And evolve it has.

Not just engine oil

Launched across Asia Pacific with much fanfare, the NGEN series is Motul’s answer to a future that demands both performance and eco-consciousness. The line-up kicks off with two flag bearers: NGEN 5 and NGEN 7.

Formulated with up to 75% regenerated base oils (for NGEN 5) and 50% (for NGEN 7), these oils are coupled with the brand’s trademark Ester technology, meaning both variants tick the green boxes without sacrificing a drop of performance.

Even the packaging gets in on the act, with fully recyclable bottles made from 50% recycled plastic.

Different riders, different needs

NGEN 5 is your everyday hero. Built for daily riders, urban warriors, and the occasional weekend explorer. Whether you’re navigating Orchard Road traffic or taking a lazy loop around Seletar, this oil promises smooth starts, optimal clutch engagement, and fuel efficiency.

Then there’s NGEN 7, the adrenaline junkie of the duo. It’s the one you want if your idea of “commute” includes leaning hard into corners or gunning it through Malaysia’s B-roads. Built for high-performance sports and adventure motorcycles, it thrives under heat, pressure, and expectation.

Both are certified to meet top global standards, from API SP to JASO MA2. In layman’s terms: they’re as legitimate as it gets.

“Motul is setting a new benchmark for the industry, where high performance and sustainability go hand in hand.”

Carlo Savoca, Chief Marketing Officer of Motul Asia Pacific

Motul Car Care Lands In Singapore https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=279468 Tue, 03 Dec 2024 12:48:28 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=279468 Another car care brand? From Motul? We’ve got questions.

If you’re a car guy, you’d probably heard of Motul. Yup, it’s that French high-performance automotive lubricant company that’s often associated with racing, be it bikes or cars.

Well, it looks like they have shifted gears into the grooming space, bringing a lineup of products designed to make car care easier, more effective, and surprisingly eco-friendly. Let’s take a closer look at what the premium brand has to offer.

A Debut Tailored for Singapore

Motul’s Car Care Range first made waves in Europe and the USA in 2022, impressing enthusiasts with its innovative formulas and results-driven performance. After fine-tuning the lineup to suit Asia Pacific’s unique needs and weather conditions, the brand launched in Singapore in October 2024.

Whether battling Singapore’s unpredictable rains, harsh sun, or day-to-day urban grime, these products have been crafted to handle it all with ease.

Standing Out in a Crowded Market

Let’s be honest—the car grooming industry is saturated with products promising miracles. So, what’s different about Motul?

Well, sustainability actually.

“Sustainability is at the heart of the Motul Car Care Range. Each product is formulated with over 60% biodegradable ingredients, pH-balanced for safety, and free from harmful chemicals, ensuring they are as kind to the environment as they are effective. Our commitment extends to our packaging, which incorporates up to 50% recycled plastic, further reducing our environmental footprint. The eco-friendly label on every product is a testament to Motul’s pledge to deliver safer, more sustainable solutions for our customers and the planet,” says Carlo Savoca, Chief Marketing Officer – Motul Asia Pacific.

Which if you think about it, it makes perfect sense, since car grooming products have never been known to contain the most biodegradable materials, and there must be a way to take that tech-forward in these times.

But before we get to carried away with the tree-hugging spiel, let’s not forget that Motul has decades of lubricant expertise and a solid reputation among car enthusiasts and professionals alike.

So their new Car Care Range definitely promises to perform too! Currently, they are divided into three main categories:

  • Protection: Think paintwork that gleams like it just rolled out of the showroom.
  • Exterior Clean: Products designed to tackle micro-abrasive particles and keep grime at bay.
  • Interior Clean: Leather and interior cleaners that are oil-free, odourless, and made to maintain that new-car feel.

OK, So Why Is Motul Moving Beyond Lubricants?

According to the brand, it’s a natural evolution.

“Motul understands that car care is closely linked to performance, and it’s about ensuring every drive is a pleasure. By listening to our customers, we recognised the need to expand our portfolio and offer a complete solution for vehicle maintenance, ” Savoca adds.

So, while its lubricants keep engines running smoothly, the new Car Care Range enhances every other aspect of vehicle ownership, from aesthetics to comfort.

Pride for your car, inside and out.

But Can Eco-Friendly Car Care Still Perform?

We’ll be testing out some samples soon and will share our thoughts. In the meantime, we recognise that in a world that’s finally waking up to environmental responsibility, Motul’s decision to prioritise sustainability can’t be faulted.

But while their Car Care Range is pH-balanced, safe to use, and kind to the planet, we certainly do hope that they deliver on the promise of pro-level results with minimal effort. As car detailing buffs ourselves, we can’t wait.

First impressions from the mint-scented car shampoo are already kind of ‘fresh’ (we’ve never encountered car shampoo that smells like Mentos before) and unique!

Where Can You Get It?

Motul’s Car Care Range is available online, so you won’t have to hunt it down in stores. You can find it on Autobacs Singapore, Steve & Leif’s e-commerce pages, and Shopee. It’s all about convenience; shop from the comfort of your home and deliver what you need directly to your doorstep.

The Final Word

Motul’s Car Care Range offers a chance to take vehicle maintenance to the next level without harming the environment, for drivers who value quality and innovation.

So, whether you’re a meticulous detailer or someone who wants their car to feel showroom-fresh, it looks like Motul’s got you covered.

In a market saturated with options, Motul is trying to set a new standard for car care.

If you’re ready to buff up your detailing routine and achieve a showroom-worthy finish, maybe give it a shot and let us know your findings!
