Tesla Cybertruck – AutoApp Dev https://www.autoapp.sg/dev Sat, 17 Aug 2024 18:44:14 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9 You Can Now View The Tesla Cybertruck In Singapore https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=276839 Sat, 17 Aug 2024 18:44:14 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=276839 Interested folks can head down to Millenia Walk to catch the Tesla Cybertruck in person.

Back in 2019, when Tesla first pulled the wraps off the Cybertruck, it was a moment when the automotive world split into two camps. You either liked it or hated it.

What makes this futuristic marvel so captivating? Well, it looks like something straight out of a dystopian sci-fi flick. Sharp edges, a stainless-steel body that seems immune to time itself, and a whole lot of technological wizardry that Tesla has become famous for.

Whether you love it or are still scratching your head about its radical design, you can now catch it in person if you’re in Singapore.

Previously, only selected media folks could catch a glimpse of it at a closed-door event. Now, Tesla Singapore is showcasing the Cybertruck at Millenia Walk, as part of a public education effort. It’s a chance for anyone to dive deep into Tesla’s story in Singapore, learn about the local Supercharging network, and of course, get up close and personal with the Cybertruck.

Test drives of Tesla’s current lineup, including the popular Model 3 and Model Y, are also being offered at Millenia Walk. If you’ve been curious about what it’s like to drive one of these, this is your chance. Or, you can cop some merch while viewing the Cybertruck.

From August 13 to 21, private viewings of the Cybertruck will be available to invited guests, complete with a presentation from the Tesla team. For the rest of us, the Cybertruck will be on public display from August 22 to September 1.

Who knows, maybe in person you’ll like it better.

Tesla Cybertruck Previewed In Singapore https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=276601 Tue, 30 Jul 2024 16:45:59 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=276601 Tesla Singapore has opened up a few private viewing slots for folks to catch the Cybertruck in person.

The world first laid eyes on the Tesla Cybertruck back in 2019, and it’s been turning heads ever since the first Cybertruck rolled off the production line in Texas.

What makes the Cybertruck special is just how dystopian it looks. Plus, it is chock full of advanced technologies that also exist in other models of the Tesla range.

Built with an ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless-steel exoskeleton and armoured glass, it offers unmatched durability and protection. I mean, Tesla themselves says it is somewhat bulletproof.

Key features that set the Cybertruck apart include its powerful all-electric drivetrain, providing up to 500 miles (~800km) of range on a single charge, and its impressive towing capacity of over 14,000 pounds (~6300kg).

The vehicle also boasts adaptive air suspension, a spacious interior, and advanced autopilot capabilities.

Regardless of which side of the fence you’re on about the Tesla Cybertruck, you cannot deny it is a pretty unique vehicle, and only a few companies in the world like Tesla can pull something like this off and actually make it a production vehicle.

For now, the private viewing sessions are limited to media and some customers. But, Tesla is planning a public viewing event soon, giving a wider audience the chance to witness the Cybertruck firsthand.

Tesla enthusiasts should keep their eyes peeled for updates and announcements about these upcoming events.

Everything to know about the hyped Tesla Cybertruck https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=270519 Thu, 07 Dec 2023 17:30:35 +0000 https://autoapp.sg/?p=270519 After four years, the long-awaited launch of the Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup has come and gone. But, was it worth the hype?

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally rolled in – the Tesla Cybertruck has hit the streets, or rather, it’s gearing up to hit them. After a four-year wait that felt longer than a cross-country road trip, this angular beast has made its grand entrance. It’s been a journey, complete with smashing windows and a touch of cyberpunk flair.

Now, let’s dive into the nitty-gritty and answer the burning questions you’ve probably tossed into your mental search bar about this new truck.

First things first, what is this Cybertruck all about? Well, it’s not your run-of-the-mill pickup; it’s the electric offspring of Tesla, wrapped in stainless steel armour. Less than 19 feet long, a bed longer than six feet, four doors, and room for six adults.

Back in 2019, Tesla teased us with specs, promising three variants. Fast forward, and the details have now been finalised. We’re talking a single-motor rear-wheel drive starting at USD$39,900, an all-wheel drive with a 340 mile (547 km) range, and a tri-motor Cyberbeast, packing 845hp, a 2.6-second century sprint, and a cool USD$99,990 price tag.

Here’s a chart for easy reference:

Now, why does it look like it just drove out of a sci-fi flick? Well, Elon Musk wanted that cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic vibe, and steel was the canvas. Tough as nails, but shaping it was a challenge. Hence, delays and a design that screams “future armoured personnel carrier.” Views are polarising, but you cannot deny it looks absolutely striking.

Is it up for grabs yet? Not quite. Mass production kicks in around 2024, but unless you have the Midas touch, securing one won’t be a walk in the park.

Talking money, prices have waltzed higher. The rear-wheel version starts at USD$60,990, the all-wheel drive at USD$79,990, and the Cyberbeast just shy of USD$100,000. But beware, the US federal tax credit waltzes away if your pick breaches the USD$80,000 mark.

Practicality check: can a bike hitch a ride in the Cybertruck’s bed? Well, it’s roomy, with beds longer than six feet. But adult bicycles might stick out of the tailgate. Motorcycles? Maybe not. This ain’t your grandpa’s Silverado.

Now, the big question – environmental vibes. EVs are eco-darlings, but let’s not ignore the fine print. Yes, they’re greener, but they’re not planting forests. And this Cybertruck, being a beefy boy, does raise eyebrows about its carbon footprint. Only time will tell.

You might want one right about now, but unfortunately, it’s extremely unlikely that the Cybertruck will ever make it to our sunny shores, given the infinite wisdom of our authorities. But if it does, expect it to go for a probably ridiculous sum of money.

As much as we like to joke, it’s still an impressive feat that Tesla has managed to bring the Cybertruck to life, and not keep it locked behind the realm of ‘concept-only’.

Whether you like it or not, the Tesla Cybertruck has certainly made waves the world over.
