Vanquish – AutoApp Dev https://www.autoapp.sg/dev Sun, 17 Nov 2024 18:12:51 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9 Aston Martin Launches New Vanquish In Singapore https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=278991 Sun, 17 Nov 2024 18:12:51 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=278991 Aston Martin recently presented a compelling new travel companion for the open road: the all-new Vanquish.

This latest iteration of the iconic nameplate marks its return in spectacular fashion, and it is clear from the outset that the Vanquish has grown significantly in both power and presence.

At the heart of this grand tourer lies a formidable 5.2-litre V12 engine, delivering 824bhp and 1,000Nm of torque.

Remarkably, these figures are achieved without any hybrid assistance; no electric motors, no high-voltage batteries.

Instead, the Vanquish’s V12 has undergone a comprehensive overhaul. Strengthened cylinder blocks, redesigned heads, upgraded conrods, and new turbochargers are just a few of the enhancements that elevate its performance.

These upgrades give the Vanquish a slight edge over the Ferrari 12Cilindri, whose naturally aspirated V12 produces 819bhp.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, propelling the Vanquish from 0 to 100km/h in a swift 3.2 seconds.

Power is nothing without control, and the Vanquish delivers on both fronts. The car features a bonded aluminium body structure, boasting a 75% increase in lateral stiffness compared to the DBS 770 Ultimate.

This robust framework is complemented by a double wishbone suspension at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear, both fitted with Bilstein DTX dampers. Each element is meticulously calibrated to provide optimal damping performance.

Visually, the Vanquish stays true to its lineage while incorporating contemporary enhancements. The long, flowing bonnet and distinctive rear are defining features, the latter designed to minimise drag at higher speeds.

A newly enlarged front grille (13% bigger than that of the DBS 770 Ultimate) improves airflow to the powerhouse V12.

For those seeking distinctiveness, the Vanquish introduces bold side strakes, complete with bright chrome finishes and ‘V12’ emblems in red.

These serve as a visual cue to its exceptional performance credentials, differentiating it from other models like the DB12 and Vantage.

Inside, the Vanquish offers a luxurious environment designed with long-distance comfort in mind.

Standard Sports Plus Seats deliver both support and a low driving position, while optional carbon fibre Performance Seats cater to those with more performance-oriented tastes.

A panoramic glass roof, tinted to block harmful UV rays, adds to the cabin’s light and airy feel.

In a nod to practicality, Aston Martin has opted to forego rear seats in this Vanquish, enhancing its grand touring credentials.

Instead, buyers can opt for bespoke saddle leather luggage sets, ensuring ample storage for extended journeys.

Aston Martin plans to produce only 1,000 units of the Vanquish annually, making it a highly exclusive offering.

Wearnes Automotive, the official distributor in Singapore, is now accepting indent orders, with prices starting at $2.2 million before COE and options.

Aston Martin Ushers In New Era of V12 Engines https://www.autoapp.sg/dev/?p=274408 Sun, 05 May 2024 03:05:00 +0000 https://www.autoapp.sg/?p=274408 Aston Martin has once again planted its flag firmly with the introduction of a groundbreaking new V12 engine.

Of course, if they can help it, Aston Martin doesn’t want to give up on its famed V12 engine any time soon. So, it recently unravelled the details of a new updated V12, a powerhouse that not only sustains the legacy of its predecessors but propels it into a new era with unmatched gusto.

Boasting 823hp and 1000Nm of torque, this V12 is the result of an extensive overhaul aimed at enhancing every microscopic detail of the combustion cycle. The technical ballet performed to bring this engine to life includes fortifying the cylinder block and conrods, revamping cylinder heads, and recalibrating camshafts.

The repositioned spark plugs and new, more voluminous fuel injectors orchestrate a symphony of optimised combustion. Meanwhile, the turbochargers promise a responsiveness that can only be described as telepathic.

Aston Martin V12 Engine

Roberto Fedeli, Aston Martin’s Chief Technical Officer, stated, “The V12 engine has long stood as a paragon of power and prestige, but above all, it represents our unyielding passion for engineering and excellence.”

True to the brand’s commitment to exclusivity and personal touch, each unit of this V12 will be meticulously handcrafted. As expected, it will grace only the most elite and scarce models in Aston Martin’s lineup.

The debut of this new V12 will be in a flagship model that promises to disrupt the dynamics of high-end sports cars. Slated for a grand reveal later in 2024, all rivals will indeed be vanquished. Catch our drift.
