The Hyundai Tucson has undergone a refresh, marking its mid-life update with subtle yet significant enhancements.
Though just three years old, the current-generation Tucson is already getting a makeover with modern updates to keep it competitive in the ever-evolving SUV market.
The front bumper has been redesigned, now featuring larger daytime running lights integrated seamlessly into the grille.
This signature design continues to give the Tucson its distinctive identity. At the rear, a cleaner, more refined bumper design replaces the busier look of the outgoing model.
The biggest talking point on the inside is a sleek new display setup that combines two 12.3-inch screens into one expansive unit, modernising the cabin’s aesthetics. This unified screen serves as both the infotainment hub and driver’s display.
The steering wheel has also been updated, with a simpler, sportier three-spoke design replacing the older four-spoke version. This change pairs well with the relocated air vents, which now sit below the display, making room for a cleaner, more streamlined dashboard.
Another update is the column-mounted gearshift lever, replacing the button-style selectors of the previous model.
Meanwhile, climate controls have been upgraded with rotary dials instead of buttons. Overall, these changes bring the Tucson’s cabin in line with Hyundai’s more premium models, such as the Kona Electric and Ioniq 5.
Under the hood, the Tucson Hybrid retains its tried-and-tested turbocharged 1.6-litre inline-four engine paired with an electric motor. The hybrid system is now complemented by all-wheel drive for added versatility.
The updated Hyundai Tucson is set to make its official debut at the Singapore Motor Show in January 2025. Produced in the Czech Republic, it will retail at $228,999 (including COE).
For those seeking a sportier edge, an N Line trim with exclusive features will also be available at launch, catering to buyers looking for an extra dash of flair and functionality.
