The partnership with Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Communications will see 128 JLR global sites connected with cloud-first, software defined network capabilities.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has recently announced a new partnership with Tata Communications, the global commtech (communications technology) player, to future-proof its digital transformation and pave the way for new standards such as Industry 4.0 and advanced analytics.

JLR is on a mission with its Reimagine strategy, and Tata Communications is stepping into the ring with its cloud-first, software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) tech.

This is set to turbocharge JLR’s supply chain, making it sleeker and more secure. And this partnership isn’t just about fancy tech jargon; it’s about saving time, boosting resilience, and flexing agility muscles to meet production demands.
JLR’s predicting some serious cost savings and business benefits, thanks to Tata Communications’ network makeover, scheduled to launch by 2025.
Tony Battle, JLR’s Group Chief Digital and Information Officer, says “Moving to SD-WAN means we can use AI powered automation to predict vulnerabilities, proactively intervene, prevent issues and perform more effectively on a global scale across our network.”

Sumeet Walia, Tata Communications’ Executive Vice President and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, also added that “As the industry rapidly evolves, it’s an exciting time to further strengthen our relationship and support its digital transformation strategy. Tata Communications is deploying a ‘digital fabric’… delivering a seamless flow of data to enrich key aspects of the business ecosystem.”
This isn’t the first time JLR and Tata Communications have collaborated too. Their previous involvement consisted of Tata Communications MOVE platform, powering connected car solutions in over 600,000 JLR vehicles.
