Pirelli has launched the Cinturato Rosso with Seal Inside technology in Singapore, bringing an added layer of safety to its established comfort-focused tyre range.
Designed primarily for the replacement market, the new tyre builds on the Cinturato Rosso’s core strengths while introducing a self-sealing capability aimed at reducing inconvenience from punctures.
Self-Sealing Technology for Everyday Driving

At the centre of the update is Pirelli’s Seal Inside technology, which allows the tyre to maintain air pressure even after being punctured by external objects.
The system works through a layer of sealing mastic inside the tyre. When a foreign object penetrates the tread, the material adheres to it, forming a seal around the puncture. If the object is later removed, the same material is drawn into the hole, sealing it and helping to prevent air loss.
This means drivers can continue their journey without the need for immediate roadside intervention, a feature that is particularly relevant in urban environments such as Singapore.

Despite the added functionality, the tyre retains the characteristics that defined the original Cinturato Rosso. It features a fully grooved tread pattern and a noise-reducing central rib, both of which contribute to a quieter and more composed driving experience.
The tyre will be available in sizes ranging from 16 to 20 inches, catering to a broad spectrum of modern sedans, crossovers and SUVs.
Pirelli also highlighted its use of virtual development tools and artificial intelligence in the tyre’s creation. By leveraging simulation and virtual prototype testing, the company was able to optimise design and material selection more efficiently, reducing the need for physical prototypes while shortening development timelines.
