Porsche Unveils New Cayenne GTS Models

Porsche has announced the addition of two new Cayenne GTS models to the Cayenne line-up, finalising the range that underwent significant revisions in 2023.

At Porsche, GTS or Gran Turismo Sport, is a guarantee of more dynamism, more endurance, and that quintessential Porsche thrill.

With its new Cayenne GTS, Porsche continues to merge the high-performance essence of a sports car with the all-terrain versatility of an SUV.

The chassis technology of the Cayenne Turbo GT now graces the GTS variant, bringing with it GTS-specific tuning and a ride height dialled down by 10 millimetres. Adaptive air suspension is now standard, and includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus).

This comprehensive suite ensures that every chassis component and control system is laser-focused on delivering peak asphalt performance.

The car is so fine-tuned that even the front axle pivot bearings are borrowed from the Cayenne Turbo GT, enhancing the wheels’ negative camber and thus, the vehicle’s cornering prowess.

Under the hood, the Cayenne GTS is no less impressive. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine now roars with 493hp, up 40hp from its predecessor. The torque too has seen a boost, now peaking at 660Nm.

This engine is paired with a refined eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission that enhances driving dynamics with quicker response and shift times, especially in Sport and Sport Plus modes.

This power translates into performance that feels both raw and refined; the Cayenne GTS dashes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 275 km/h.

The newly adopted independent water cooling circuit in the transfer box for the all-wheel drive system ensures the SUV can handle continuous loads, whether on the track or traversing mountain paths.

The GTS sports a unique, sporty design with black ‘GTS’ lettering and an array of features in high-gloss black, contrasting with dark bronze-toned sports exhaust system tailpipes.

Red brake callipers and 21-inch RS Spyder-design wheels in anthracite grey round off the visual package, maintaining Porsche’s design DNA.

Inside, the Cayenne GTS features a heated GT sports steering wheel and extensive use of Race-Tex, a suede-like fabric that lines everything from the roof to the door panels.

The sports seats, now with even higher side bolsters, promise impeccable support during spirited drives, while the fixed panoramic glass roof and adaptive extending rear spoiler in the Cayenne GTS Coupé enhance both aesthetics and aerodynamics.
