Record Attendance at 2023 Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival

Harley-Davidson celebrates 120 years of moto culture.

Harley-Davidson has been building iconic motorcycles since 1903. To celebrate its 120th anniversary, a four-day event called Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival saw moto enthusiasts worldwide descend in record numbers upon venues across the Milwaukee area.

Over at Veterans Park on the Milwaukee Lakefront, headline performances by Green Day and Foo Fighters on 14 and 15 July respectively drew more than 80,000 moto and music enthusiasts to the area.

Other notable performances included those by Abby Jean, Kenny Hoopla, Whost Hounds, White Reaper and Joan Jett over the two days.

Additionally, Nitro Circus was on hand to provide an action-packed freestyle motocross show. Ives Brothers Wall of Death & Ball Of Steel put on exhilarating stunts and enthralled the audiences in attendance.

What’s a Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival without obligatory burgers? Matty Matheson hosted a Burger Build Off where he created the ultimate show-stopping burger in a head-to-head cookoff.

Of course, the main draw for moto enthusiasts would be Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and it was at the H-D’s Museum grounds where 73,000 bikes gathered and parked neatly for all to see and appreciate.

This brought in 130,000 attendees who also got to enjoy food trucks, Flat Out Friday Boonie Bike races, motorcycle displays, demo rides with LiveWire and Stacyc electric bikes, the Division BMX Stunt Show and evening musical entertainment.

The event concluded with the Harley-Davidson 120th Anniversary Parade, winding through Wisconsin Avenue to the heart of downtown Milwaukee and ending at Veterans Park. 7,000 motorcycles participated in this parade. Actually, even before that, there were six exciting Ride In Routes plotted to bring H-D riders from the furthest reaches of North America to Milwaukee.

This allowed riders to join at any point and ride at their own pace while getting to know other H-D riders and conduct bike maintenance at Harley-Davidson dealerships along the way.

Next year’s event has been announced for 25-28 July, so start planning now if you want to partake in Harley-Davidson’s festivities. ‘MURICA!
