The long wheelbase, six-seater version of Tesla’s Model Y SUV is in Singapore for a preview, before its expected launch in Q2.
Tesla Singapore has brought in the Model Y L, a long wheelbase, six-seater version of its popular SUV, for a special preview, ahead of its expected local launch somewhere around the second quarter of 2026.
The Model Y L features a stretched wheelbase that’s 150mm longer than the regular Model Y, as well as a reshaped rear roofline to accommodate the third row of seats. It also marks the first time that Tesla is officially offering a three-row model here, notwithstanding the handful of Model X large SUVs that were brought in by some parallel importers.
Other modifications include a modified rear spoiler design that is said to increase downforce, as well as a redesigned glasshouse. The Model Y L also gets new 19-inch aerodynamic wheel rims, as well as a new Cosmic Silver paint that’s exclusive to this model.

The seating layout is set in a 2-2-2 formation, with two captain’s chairs in the middle, opening up a central walkway for access to the back. The second row seats get automated armrests, as well as individual heating and ventilation. The third row seats meanwhile get electrically reclinable backrests and dedicated air con vents to keep passengers cool.
With all the seats up, the Model Y L offers a decent 420 litres of boot space. Fold the second and third row seats down however and cargo space goes up to a colossal 2,539 litres, enough to accommodate about 20 full-sized luggage bags according to Tesla.
The cabin ambience is enhanced further by a new 18 speaker sound system to ensure that all passengers enjoy a top quality audio experience. There is also an adaptive independent suspension system that can be tweaked to prioritise rear comfort over handling balance if desired.

For now, the Model Y L will be offered with just one powertrain, that being the same top-spec dual-motor setup as the Model Y Long Range AWD, which delivers a total of 378kW and 590Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0-100km/h in 5 second flat.
However, the Model Y L’s more aerodynamic shape, as well as its larger 88kWh battery, means that it can offer a longer range of 681km on a full charge, which is significantly more than the 629km of its similarly-powered regular wheelbase counterpart.
The Model Y L is being previewed at all three of its Experience Centres islandwide, at Toa Payoh, Millenia Walk and Westgate, and indicative pricing for now is listed at $248,999 with COE. Order books are open now, with an official launch and first customer deliveries set for Q2 2026.
