Updated Mercedes-Benz GLA Now in Singapore

The new Mercedes-Benz GLA gets a new front and an updated MBUX system that gets newly designed display styles.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to roll out the red carpet for the revamped Mercedes-Benz GLA. Singapore is in for a treat as this premium crossover graces our roads with its presence.

Let’s start with the looks, shall we? The GLA struts its stuff with a brand new front grille, trading the old for the new, with sleek vertical slats behind the iconic horizontal fin. The front bumper has also been redesigned, and the result? A crossover that means business.

The GLA is no slouch when it comes to lighting. It’s got LED High-Performance headlights, ensuring you’ll never be in the dark. Not to forget the LED rear lights, casting a striking presence wherever it goes.

And if you want to stand out even more, there’s a fresh Spectral Blue paint colour to choose from. The GLA rolls on 18-inch wheels as standard, but for those who like to make a statement, there are wheel designs up to 20 inches in diameter to elevate your style game.

Now, let’s get inside, where the real magic happens. Mercedes’ MBUX system, residing within dual 10.25-inch displays, has gone through a revamp. It’s not just about displaying information; it’s about offering an experience. With three new display styles and up to 10 colour worlds, it’s all about personalisation. You’ve got more choices than ever before.

Performance? The system has received an upgrade too. It now pairs wirelessly with your smartphone, courtesy of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Plus, there’s an extra USB-C port and more charging power for your gadgets. All USB ports are illuminated because, well, why not?

Hidden beneath those dazzling displays is an improved voice assistant. It’s like having your tech-savvy co-pilot who knows your driving habits and remembers your settings and routes. It suggests personalised infotainment, comfort, and vehicle functions based on your journey.

And for the gamers at heart, there’s an optional individualization package that lets you play games like Sudoku, Shuffle Puck, Pairs, and Match 3 via the central touchscreen and touch-sensitive buttons on the steering wheel.

But what’s music without a soul-stirring sound? The GLA offers an optional Burmester surround sound system. Coupled with the latest MBUX generation, it transforms your car into an acoustic paradise. Your favourite tunes have more space, clarity, and depth.

Under the hood, the GLA boasts a 1.3-litre engine supported by a 48V mild hybrid system. It might sound small, but it packs a punch with 134 bhp and 230 Nm of torque. And for those who crave more power, the Mercedes-AMG GLA35 is here to answer your call. With a 302 bhp 2.0-litre engine and 400 Nm of torque, it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA isn’t just a car; it’s a symphony of style, technology, and power.
