XPENG Launches New X9 Pro In Singapore

The electric MPV segment is evolving quickly, and XPENG clearly intends to stay ahead of that curve, officially unveiled the refreshed XPENG X9 Pro in Singapore.

Launched at the XPENG Singapore showroom on 7 May, the updated X9 Pro builds upon the success of the existing X9, but introduces enough changes to feel more like a significant mid-cycle evolution.

Most notably, the X9 Pro becomes the first XPENG model in the Asia-Pacific region to feature the company’s proprietary Turing AI chip.

The chip delivers up to 750 TOPS (trillion operations per second) of computing power, approximately three times more than the previous model, improving the responsiveness of the vehicle’s advanced driver assistance systems and smart cockpit functions.

“The XPENG X9 Pro reflects how we see mobility evolving. More intelligent, adaptive, and attuned to the needs of modern drivers.”

Dominic Tan, Sales Manager of XPENG Singapore

Built on XPENG’s next-generation 800V silicon carbide platform, the X9 Pro supports up to 547kW charging capability and uses the company’s new 5C ultra-fast charging system.

Under ideal conditions, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in under 12 minutes when connected to compatible 480kW chargers.

Two variants are available locally. The Standard Range model delivers a WLTP-estimated range of 535km, while the Long Range version extends that figure to 615km. Both complete the 0-100km/h sprint in 8.2 seconds.

Visually, the updated X9 adopts a cleaner and more aerodynamic appearance. XPENG describes it as a “refined starship”.

The updated X-ROBOT FACE 2.0 front fascia is paired with an Active Grille Shutter system designed to improve airflow and cooling efficiency. Meanwhile, smoother body lines, an angled windscreen and a larger rear window contribute to improved aerodynamic performance.

Despite measuring over 5.3 metres long and nearly two metres wide, the X9 remains under 1.8 metres tall, allowing it to fit comfortably into most Singapore carparks.

Nappa leather seats, ambient lighting and “zero gravity” massage chairs with 10-point massage functions create an experience closer to business-class travel than a conventional family MPV.

Safety equipment is comprehensive too, with nine airbags fitted as standard, including second-row side cushion airbags and a driver’s side remote airbag.

The new XPENG X9 Pro is priced from $336,999 for the Standard Range variant, while the Long Range model starts from $347,999. Test drives are now available at the XPENG Singapore showroom.
