Through its subsidiary B’EV, the new B’EV Terminal Charging Hub is located at 27 Senoko Way, and Busways claim that it is Singapore’s first ultra-fast EV charging facility that caters to both private car owners as well as commercial and fleet operators.

There are a total of 12 charging points at the facility, with speeds varying from 180kW to 360kW, including two chargers that can charge at 480kW.

Those who own EVs that are capable of accepting ultra-fast charging speeds, like the latest XPeng G6, can take advantage of the 480kW charger to recharge their car to a nearly full battery in just 12 minutes or so.

There is also a ‘Cozy Corner’ that consists of air-conditioned resting areas with vending machines serving drinks and snacks, allowing drivers to take a well-deserved break while waiting for their vehicles to charge up. The area’s location at the very northern tip of Singapore means that you get a scenic view of Johor Bahru as well.

Busways also say that the energy generated from operating the chargers are derived from renewable sources where possible, through the wind generators and solar panels installed on site, further reducing the facility’s reliance on the country’s energy grid.

The B’EV Terminal Charging Hub is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can accommodate private cars, commercial vehicles and even heavy-duty electric buses and lorries.

Users who wish to use the chargers will need to first download the B’EV app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store before starting the charging process.
