A Fresh Take on Breakfast at Performance Motors

Food breakfast main

About a year ago, we sat down with the team at Performance Motors to sample their breakfast menu as part of PML’s BMW Experience. The idea was simple but thoughtful: give customers something a little more enjoyable while they waited for their cars to be serviced.

Fast forward a year, and the team has revisited the menu, refining it with a few new additions and tweaks to better serve their customers.

What’s new

One of the new dishes we tried was the Eggs Benedict, served over a muffin-style bread. The eggs were nicely prepared with a soft, runny centre. The hollandaise sauce had a rich, balanced flavour that brought the whole dish together. It’s a classic breakfast option, but one that feels a little more elevated in this setting.

Also new to the menu is the Yam Cake, served with sambal chilli and a dipping sauce on the side. It’s a simple dish, but the combination of flavours gives it a satisfying local twist that many customers will likely appreciate.

The menu also now features a refreshing Ginger Lemongrass drink, which proved to be a pleasant surprise. Light, aromatic and nicely balanced, it was a great palate cleanser and a refreshing way to start the morning.

The Classics

We also revisited two items that have proven to be popular favourites among customers: Nasi Lemak and Laksa. The Nasi Lemak has received something of a facelift and now comes with a generous piece of spicy otah, which adds a satisfying punch of flavour to the dish.

The Laksa, meanwhile, remains a comforting classic, with its familiar rich broth and fragrant spices.

Both the Nasi Lemak and Laksa need to be pre-ordered. But they are well worth planning ahead for if you are dropping your BMW off for service.

Little touches like these may not be the main reason customers visit Performance Motors, but they do help make the overall experience nicer. Sometimes, a good breakfast is the perfect way to start the day, especially when you’re spending it around cars.
