How Does ACOTY Define This Class?

Every shortlisted winner from Round 1 are sold with Category B COEs and are propelled by internal combustion. The Overall Best Cat B Vehicle is decided from amongst these candidates.

We got a whole list of winners to sort through, so bear with us.

Meet The Contenders

Hyundai Santa Fe

The Hyundai Santa Fe beat out the Kia Sorento Hybrid, Honda CR-V and Subaru Crosstrek to win Best Cat B SUV.

This stylish SUV comes with loads of tech and space for seven. What more could you love?

Kia Carnival

The Kia Carnival triumphed over the Toyota Vellfire, Lexus LM and Nissan Serena Alfa to be crowned Best Cat B MPV.

With its new hybrid platform, the new Kia Carnival is a spacious and practical winner in our hearts.

Toyota Camry

The Toyota Camry fought well against the Toyota Prius, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento, Kia Carnival and Nissan Serena and won Best Cat B Hybrid/Plug-In Hybrid.

We felt that the Camry offered a sublime sedan package that is sure to please the discerning customer.

Mercedes-Benz CLE200

The Mercedes-Benz CLE200 beat out the Porsche Boxster, Lotus Emira, Subaru BRZ and Volkswagen Golf R to win Best Sports Car.

As an all-rounder package, the CLE ticks all of the right boxes to achieve victory.

Maserati Granturismo

The Maserati Granturismo scored better than the Mercedes-Benz SL43 and Porsche Cayman GTS to win Best Premium Sports Car.

This new generation Italian is a huge improvement over its predecessor, and represents a new shift in dynamics for the brand. Fantastic.

Porsche 911 Carrera T

The Porsche 911 Carrera T won against the Lamborghini Huracan STO to win Best Supercar.

Agile, practical, and stylish. The 911 needs no introduction, and the Carrera T is arguably one of the best variants you can buy.

Range Rover PHEV

The Range Rover PHEV locked horns and won against the Lamborghini Urus S to win Best Luxury SUV.

If sublime pantomime is what you’re craving, you’ll get tons of love in the Range Rover. It’s simply the kings of the roads.

Porsche Cayenne

The Porsche Cayenne battled hard against the Range Rover Velar, Land Rover Defender, Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, BMW X5, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Alfa Romeo Stelvio to win Best Premium SUV.

The Cayenne was the pioneer, and it still leads the SUV charge after all of the years.

Porsche Panamera

The Porsche Panamera fought hard against the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-AMG C63 and Alfa Romeo Giulia to win Best Premium Sedan.

Like the Cayenne, the Panamera was initially gawked when it first debuted, but has since turned into a regal premium sedan that folks dream about.

So who won?

Catch your breath. We got nine excellent award-winning choices here, and suffice to say you won’t go wrong with any of them. However, we in the judging panel had a job to do, and that was to choose an overall winner.

Where the points tally in Round 1 was the final determinant of each category’s winner, here in Round 2, points are taken into consideration but are not the final arbiter of victory.
