The all-new BMW 216 Gran Coupé, now available in Singapore, brings a healthy shot of sportiness and elegance.
“The all-new BMW 216 Gran Coupé is the latest addition to our growing list of CAT A COE offerings in Singapore,” shared Lars Nielsen, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia.
“For those who want something a bit more edgy, the BMW 216 Gran Coupé’s swooping silhouette and frameless side windows will capture attention. However, behind the wheel is where drivers get that true-blue BMW experience – this is the key ingredient that our fans cannot get enough of!”

Freshly produced at BMW Group’s Leipzig plant, this second-generation model exudes a sense of movement even at a standstill. Up front, the signature BMW kidney grille, now enhanced with a fresh matrix of vertical and diagonal bars, gives the car a low, planted stance.
Flanked by standard Adaptive LED headlights with their blue accent strips and cornering capabilities, it’s a face designed to leave an impression in rear-view mirrors.

From the side, it’s all about flow; a long bonnet, short overhangs, and a gently descending roofline that culminates in a taut rear deck. A subtle embossing of the number ‘2’ at the Hofmeister kink reminds you this is no ordinary compact.
Around the back, clean surfacing and slim, notched tail lamps create a rear that’s both muscular and modern.
For those wanting an extra bit of flash, BMW offers the M Sport package, optional high-gloss black roof, and an expanded palette of eleven exterior colours, including four from BMW Individual’s exclusive vault.

Step inside, and the first thing you’ll notice is what’s missing: leather. In a nod to modern sensibilities, the 216 Gran Coupé is entirely leather-free as standard, favouring Veganza upholstery finished in Coral Red/Black with contrast stitching.
The cabin is a digital cocoon, crowned by BMW’s Curved Display and the newly refined gear selector. Dynamic aluminium interior trims add a tactile sophistication, while ambient lighting discreetly turns every evening drive into a low-lit occasion.

Standard electrically adjustable Sport seats promise long-distance comfort, while a 40:20:40 split rear seat ensures the 430-litre boot can swallow everything from golf bags to weekend luggage without complaint.

Underneath its polished shell, the 216 Gran Coupé hides a few engineering party tricks. As standard in Singapore, the model comes with the M Sport package, meaning you get Adaptive M Suspension with frequency-selective shock absorbers, sport steering, and a body lowered by 8mm for better handling without sacrificing ride comfort.
At its heart beats a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 122hp and 230Nm of torque. Mated to a 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch gearbox, it propels the 216 Gran Coupé from 0-100km/h in 9.9 seconds.

Thanks to an increased body rigidity and refined chassis dynamics, including an integrated braking system and directly controlled wheel slip limitation, the 216 Gran Coupé feels confident whether you’re darting through tight city streets or taking on sweeping highway curves.
Standard equipment includes Driving Assistant features like Lane Departure Warning, Speed Limit Info, Exit Warning, and Collision Mitigation. Parking Assistant with Reversing Assistant takes the dread out of tight urban parking spots.
And if you want to really elevate the experience, the Equipment Package Professional bundles goodies like the illuminated Iconic Glow grille, BMW Live Cockpit Professional with Head-Up Display and Augmented View, plus Parking Assistant Plus with a full 360-degree view.

Connectivity also gets a healthy upgrade, thanks to the new BMW Operating System 9 with QuickSelect. Think faster, more intuitive controls, seamless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and the ability to download software upgrades and new features “over-the-air”.
For the truly tech-savvy, there’s the optional BMW Digital Key Plus, turning your smartphone or smartwatch into a smart, digital car key, handy for those days when your pockets seem allergic to carrying anything.
