First Look – Porsche Vision 357 Speedster

Porsche celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Goodwood Festival of Speed with the introduction of the Porsche Vision 357 Speedster concept car.

This stunning vehicle pays homage to the iconic 356 and is based on the technology of the Porsche 718 GT4 e-Performance. With its striking design and impressive performance, the Vision 357 Speedster takes centre stage among more than 15 new and classic Porsche models showcased at the festival.

The Porsche Vision 357 Speedster features a shortened front windscreen and a one-sided tonneau cover, capturing the essence of a classic speedster. Its two-tone colour scheme, inspired by historic motorsport, combines Marble Grey and Grivelo Grey Metallic with contrasting Miami Blue accents.

The exterior design incorporates elements reminiscent of the Porsche 356, such as the four-point light signet and the vertical grille pattern in the rear. The wide track, 20-inch magnesium wheels, and carbon fibre hubcaps contribute to the car’s sporty and aggressive stance.

Inside the Vision 357 Speedster, the focus is on the driver. The low-slung seat position, carbon-fibre seat shell, and six-point seat belt with a Miami Blue strap create a true sports car experience. The interior features a minimalist design with a carbon-weave finish on the dashboard and fabric straps in place of conventional door handles. The instrument cluster sits transparently atop the steering column, and the racing steering wheel adds to the lightweight feel of the car.

The Vision 357 Speedster is powered by electric motors and battery technology derived from the Porsche Mission R, while the chassis is based on the Porsche 718 GT4 Clubsport. This combination delivers impressive performance and driving dynamics.

Following its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the concept car will be showcased at the Rennsport Reunion in the USA later in the year. We managed to get a sneak peek of the car in person at the festival; check out those wheels!

Overall, the Porsche Vision 357 Speedster exemplifies Porsche’s commitment to timeless design, outstanding performance, and motorsport excellence.
