KGM Unveils All-New Torres EVX

KGM Torres EVX

The all-new KGM Torres EVX is now officially launched in Singapore.

The Torres EVX marks an important milestone for KG Mobility. It is the brand’s first fully electric passenger SUV to land on our shores and follows the earlier arrival of the Musso EV pickup.

Underneath its boxy stance sits a 152kW (204bhp) electric motor producing 339Nm of torque. Power is supplied by an 80.6kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) blade battery, good for a claimed WLTP range of up to 503km (combined). With support for 11kW AC and up to 120kW DC fast charging, the Torres EVX can replenish from 20 to 80 per cent in roughly 31 minutes on a fast charger.

The battery is backed by a 10-year or one-million-kilometre warranty.

Measuring 4,715mm long, 1,890mm wide and 1,735mm tall, it occupies that familiar mid-to-large SUV footprint. The upright proportions and strong character lines lend it a commanding presence, while a bold hexagonal front treatment and full-LED lighting give it a modern, slightly adventurous stance.

Subtle design motifs inspired by the Korean flag appear throughout the vehicle, quietly woven into the styling. The boot offers 703 litres of space, expanding to 1,662 litres with the rear seats folded.

The cabin includes a dual 12.3-inch panoramic display integrating the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are present, as expected, and the interface appears designed for clarity rather than gimmickry.

The interior offers a choice of brown or black finishes, with powered front seats that include ventilation. Rear seats split 40:60 and recline. There is even a ‘rear seat sleep mode’ that mutes the audio system for those attempting to catch a nap in the back.

Connectivity is modern and plentiful, with wireless charging and multiple USB-C ports scattered throughout the cabin.
