The all-new Lexus ES now comes with a choice of full hybrid or fully electric power, while an updated RZ350e joins it as Lexus broadens its approach to electrification in Singapore.
Rather than betting everything on a single technology like EVs, Lexus is expanding what it calls its “multi-pathway” approach to electrification in Singapore. Leading that charge are the all-new Lexus ES, which will be offered here as both the ES 350h Full Hybrid Electric and ES 350e Pure Electric, alongside the new RZ350e electric SUV.
Both models were unveiled to guests and owners at the Lexus Cup Singapore 2026 at the Singapore Island Country Club’s Island Course on 10 September.

The ES has traditionally been one of the more conservative members of the Lexus family. The eighth-generation car continues this philosophy, although what lies beneath has changed considerably.
For the first time in Singapore, buyers will be able to choose between the ES 350h self-charging hybrid and the ES 350e battery-electric model. The latter was first shown locally at the Singapore Motorshow earlier this year.
Lexus has not forgotten what the ES is supposed to be good at, either. The new model introduces what the company calls its New Generation Lexus Seat, featuring a split construction designed to provide more rear passenger room while also making entry and exit easier.
Boot space has also been optimised to accommodate as many as four golf bags. Given that the cars were unveiled at the Lexus Cup, one suspects this particular measurement was not chosen entirely by accident.
The ES debuts what Lexus describes as the world’s first “Responsive Hidden Switches”. These integrate physical controls into the otherwise minimalist cabin, remaining part of the brand’s interpretation of Omotenashi, the Japanese idea of anticipating a guest’s needs before they have to ask.
The cabin also receives a 17-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system, dynamic ambient illumination with six themes, and active noise and sound control.
Safety technology has similarly moved forward with the debut of Lexus Safety System+ 4.0, incorporating functions such as a Pre-Collision System, Emergency Steering Assist and Acceleration Suppression at Low Speed.
Alongside the ES is the new Lexus RZ350e. Unlike the ES, the RZ was conceived from the outset as a battery-electric Lexus, and this latest iteration concentrates on improving the fundamentals rather than rewriting the formula.
Lexus says it has revised the electric powertrain while making improvements to battery and motor output, key components and the vehicle’s structure. Driving range and charging performance have also been enhanced.
The all-new Lexus ES range and Lexus RZ350e are now available for viewing and test drives at the Lexus Boutique. For Lexus, electrification does not necessarily mean abandoning one technology in favour of another overnight. Its current strategy spans conventional hybrids, performance hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery-electric vehicles.
The destination may ultimately be an increasingly electrified future. Lexus simply believes there is more than one road to get there.
