New 2025 SsangYong Musso Launched In Singapore

2025 Ssangyong Musso

The new 2025 SsangYong Musso is back, now with more muscle under the hood and creature comforts you wouldn’t expect in a pick-up.

Underneath its broad-shouldered bonnet sits a Euro 6-compliant, 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine. This one pushes out 202 horsepower and 441Nm of torque. And with a fuel economy of 9.0 litres/100km, it’s not guzzling diesel like it’s going out of style either.

Transmission duties fall to a trusted 6-speed automatic from Aisin, complete with manual override. And since it’s Class 3A license-friendly, more drivers can get behind the wheel without navigating the intricacies of a manual box.

You’ve got selectable drive modes—2H for your everyday errands, 4H for those “should I have brought my hiking boots?” moments, and 4L when you’re deep in the wild (or, more realistically, a very muddy construction site). There’s even Hill Descent Control to ease you down the steep stuff.

Inside, plush materials line the spacious cabin, which seats five comfortably. Its dimensions (5,095mm long, 1,950mm wide) mean you’re getting SUV-like room, and at 1,840mm high, it’ll breeze through most multi-storey carparks without breaking a sweat. The 1,960kg unladen weight also keeps it season-parking compliant.

Hill Start Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning all come included, and reverse sensors tie up the package with a bow. Oh, and the tailgate is soft-closing too.

All this comes wrapped up with a factory-backed 5-year/100,000km warranty and a 3-year/60,000km free servicing package, at a price tag of S$109,888 (excluding COE).

Here’s where it gets interesting

2025 Ssangyong Musso

This Musso will be the last model to carry the SsangYong badge. Going forward,  the brand will be renamed to KGM, a new identity reborn under KG Mobility Corp. Sleeker, more forward-looking, yet still proudly South Korean in build quality and reliability, KGM is shaping up to be the next big act.

And if the diesel-drinking Musso doesn’t quite align with your go-green aspirations, coming soon is the all-electric Musso EV double-cab pickup and the Torres EVX SUV. Both are slated to debut later this year.
