Eurokars EV has launched the all-new MG 4 Urban electric hatchback in Singapore, priced at a very competitive $168,888 with COE.
Eurokars EV, the official distributor for MG in Singapore, has launched the all-new MG 4 Urban electric hatchback here.
The car was unveiled at an event held at Vivocity on 16 April, and the car replaces the previous MG 4 hatchback that has been on sale here since 2023.
The new MG 4 Urban has been completely redesigned from the ground up, and now sits on a bespoke EV platform architecture that sees the battery cells integrated with the body structure. Such an approach allows for a variety of benefits, such as weight reduction, better body rigidity, and more interior space.
MG claims that the new car is one of the first EVs in the compact segment here to utilise such a setup, and promises that it will deliver a more entertaining drive than its already-impressive predecessor, despite switching from rear to front-wheel-drive.
Power comes from a single electric motor that produces 99kW/134bhp and 250Nm of torque, allowing it to slot easily into COE Cat A. 0-100km/h comes up in 9.6 seconds, which is a decent time in its class.
The car’s 54kWh battery gives the MG 4 Urban a WLTP combined range of 405km on a full charge, with a claimed efficiency figure of 15.5kWh/100km. With a maximum DC charging rate of 82kW, the battery can go from 10 to 80 per cent charge in just 30 minutes.

The MG 4 Urban features a sleeker design that its predecessor, and the curved styling and rear taillights are reminiscent of the eye-catching MG Cyberster roadster. There is also an active grille system on the lower front bumper for enhanced efficiency, while MG will offer the car in a choice of seven colours, including a new shade called Sage Green.
While the MG 4 Urban measures in at a compact 4,395mm long, there is plenty of interior room for passengers thanks to its 2,744mm long wheelbase. Room for cargo is equally generous too, with the MG 4 Urban featuring a boot capacity of 480 litres, expandable to 1,364 litres when the rear seats are folded down.

The car is also fairly well-equipped, with standard equipment including ventilated seats for both the driver and front passenger, and a panoramic sunroof. The 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen incorporates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and complements the 7-inch driver instrument display.
Other highlights include a wireless smartphone charger, as well as over 30 storage points located throughout the cabin. Customers can also choose from two upholstery colour choices, Dark Grey or the lighter Sky Grey, and both are upholstered in vegan leather.

Pricing for the new MG 4 Urban starts at $168,888 with COE, and Eurokars EV are offering special launch deals that includes free road tax for a year, 500kWh worth of Shell Recharge credits, and $500 in MG Care vouchers.
