New Motul NGEN Series Powers Into The Future

Say hello to NGEN, Motul’s latest engine oil series and quite possibly the brand’s most audacious step forward in its 170-year history.

Now, if you’ve ever turned a wrench or twisted a throttle, you’d know that Motul isn’t just some shelf-sitter in a supermarket aisle.

This is the company that brought the world the first fully synthetic four-stroke lubricant back in 1971, the legendary Motul 300V. But even legends know when it’s time to evolve.

And evolve it has.

Not just engine oil

Launched across Asia Pacific with much fanfare, the NGEN series is Motul’s answer to a future that demands both performance and eco-consciousness. The line-up kicks off with two flag bearers: NGEN 5 and NGEN 7.

Formulated with up to 75% regenerated base oils (for NGEN 5) and 50% (for NGEN 7), these oils are coupled with the brand’s trademark Ester technology, meaning both variants tick the green boxes without sacrificing a drop of performance.

Even the packaging gets in on the act, with fully recyclable bottles made from 50% recycled plastic.

Different riders, different needs

NGEN 5 is your everyday hero. Built for daily riders, urban warriors, and the occasional weekend explorer. Whether you’re navigating Orchard Road traffic or taking a lazy loop around Seletar, this oil promises smooth starts, optimal clutch engagement, and fuel efficiency.

Then there’s NGEN 7, the adrenaline junkie of the duo. It’s the one you want if your idea of “commute” includes leaning hard into corners or gunning it through Malaysia’s B-roads. Built for high-performance sports and adventure motorcycles, it thrives under heat, pressure, and expectation.

Both are certified to meet top global standards, from API SP to JASO MA2. In layman’s terms: they’re as legitimate as it gets.

“Motul is setting a new benchmark for the industry, where high performance and sustainability go hand in hand.”

Carlo Savoca, Chief Marketing Officer of Motul Asia Pacific
