Toyota’s latest electric SUV combines all-wheel-drive performance, a larger boot and up to 443km of driving range, offering families a more versatile alternative to the standard bZ4X.
Toyota has never been a manufacturer particularly interested in doing things by halves. And with its latest electric SUV, the Japanese carmaker has decided that more power and more space might be precisely what customers are looking for.
Hence, the new Toyota bZ4X Touring is now available for viewing and test drives in Singapore through authorised distributor Borneo Motors.
Building upon the standard bZ4X, the Touring introduces a more spacious body, all-wheel-drive capability and a substantial increase in performance. In fact, with 375hp on tap, it is Toyota’s most powerful model outside its GR performance range.

Underneath its rugged exterior sits a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 375hp, allowing the bZ4X Touring to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 4.4 seconds.
A 74.7kWh battery provides a claimed driving range of up to 443km, while 150kW DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 28 minutes.
For those who prefer venturing beyond conventional roads, Toyota has also equipped the Touring with its dual-function X-MODE system. This manages traction across challenging surfaces, including mud, dirt and uneven terrain, while Downhill Assist Control helps maintain a controlled speed on steep descents.

Its extended rear body provides approximately 22 per cent more cargo space than the standard bZ4X, bringing boot capacity to a generous 550 litres. Rear passengers also benefit from an additional 48mm of headroom, while a wider and taller boot opening makes loading bulky items considerably easier.
Other practical touches include a powered tailgate, rear-seat folding levers accessible from the boot and roof rails capable of supporting up to 80kg while driving.
Visually, the Touring retains Toyota’s distinctive Hammerhead front-end design, complemented by redesigned bumpers, protective skid plates and matte-black wheel arch cladding. The result is a more purposeful appearance, without straying too far from the familiar bZ4X silhouette.

Inside, the bZ4X Touring adopts a clean, contemporary cabin centred around a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen. A high-mounted digital instrument display provides essential driving information, including battery status, remaining charge and estimated charging times.
Dual wireless smartphone chargers, rear air-conditioning vents and two 60W USB charging ports add convenience, while a nine-speaker JBL audio system handles entertainment duties.
Safety equipment includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, Blind Spot Monitoring, Safe Exit Assist and a 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor. An automatic parking system also assists with parallel and perpendicular parking manoeuvres.

“At Toyota, we recognise that there is no single solution that meets the needs of every driver,” said Ian Burton, APAC CEO of Inchcape. “Our multi-pathway approach ensures customers can choose the electrified technology that best suits their lifestyle, whether that is a hybrid or battery electric vehicle.”
The bZ4X Touring joins the Urban Cruiser and standard bZ4X in Toyota’s growing electric vehicle line-up, complementing the manufacturer’s established hybrid offerings.
The Toyota bZ4X Touring is available for viewing and test drives at Toyota showrooms at 33 Leng Kee Road and 17 Ubi Road 4.
