The hotly-anticipated Toyota bZ4X has now officially been launched in Singapore.

The bZ4X delivers an energy consumption figure of 16.3kWh/100km, translating to an estimated range of up to 478km on a single charge. DC fast charging supports up to 150kW, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in just 28 minutes.

On the move, the single motor produces 167kW (223hp) and 268Nm of torque, achieving 0-100km/h in 7.4 seconds.

“The all-new bZ4X is designed for drivers seeking a supported, reliable, and efficient electric driving experience.”

Visually, the bZ4X carries Toyota’s now-signature “hammerhead” front design. Full-length LED DRLs stretch confidently across the fascia, and the segmented headlamps give the car a layered, almost architectural look. Aerodynamic touches, including a roof-mounted spoiler and lower diffuser, contribute to stability and cabin refinement.

A 7-inch digital instrument cluster sits ahead of the driver, while a large 14-inch touchscreen multimedia system anchors the centre stack. Physicality remains where it matters, and the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters allow drivers to adjust regenerative braking levels.

Heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and two wireless chargers elevate daily usability. Boot space stands at 452 litres.

Underpinning the bZ4X is Toyota’s dedicated e-TNGA BEV platform, with a lightweight yet high-rigidity structure. The underfloor battery placement lowers the centre of gravity, improving balance and composure.

Battery protection is equally serious. Reinforced structures and energy-absorbing zones safeguard the pack, and the car has earned a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

The bZ4X is backed by a 10-year battery warranty, 10-year servicing programme, and 10-year complimentary roadside assistance, which even includes towing and emergency charging.

For Toyota loyalists, the bZ4X makes a compelling case that the electric future can feel remarkably familiar.
